Guys, Would a guy who loves his new girlfriend keep tabs on another girl (secretly watching her, asking people about her etc.)?

There is a guy who used to have a crush on me and keeps staring at me. He knows I’m attracted to him too but apparently he recently got into a relationship with a girl he posts on insta. He keeps staring at me when he thinks I don’t notice, listens to conversations between me and my friends and every time he leaves the room he takes one last glance at me from afar. Why does he act like this if he is happy with his girlfriend.

I mean he knows cheating is bad, he knows YOU know cheating is bad. He probably knows that there's a chance that you know he's in a relationship and knows if he was direct he could lose his chance with you and also lose his girlfriend

If he thought you were attractive before he got in the relationship, his view on you, attractiveness wise, wouldn't magically dissappear
