And then, you have the consequences. As you no longer produce testosterone, you become hormonally imbalanced, start developing feminine characteristics and you lose all aggresive impulses. You become powerless, unable to get angry and getting frustrated instead. You stop finding women attractive. You stop thinking sexually... that is why a great number of castrated men end up commiting suicide.

Imagine if you were punished at an early age (say at my age 18 or younger) and were told the punishment was having a full hysterectomy where your body couldn't produce egg cells and you would never have the option to have children. Yes, some may like the idea and adaption is always an option, but for (some / many) knowing you will never be able to have a child you can truly call your own is unbearable. That's what you're doing to a guy when you do that.

Because simply a guy without a dick is no man anymore. It destroys a guy mentally and psychologically and can have side effects on his hormonal stability since testosterone is also built in his balls. Lower testosterone leads to lower body strength, self confidence and self esteem. A castration is irreversible as far as I know.
