Why does the guys I've seen always say I twist their words when we argue? Am I the problem or are they being manipulative?

It could be either side. Perhaps you may be misinterpreting their meaning, or reconstructing their answer into something you want to hear inside your own head. You might be wishing things went your way, or another way. This can possibly happen if you are hard-headed and stubborn to see someone elses perspective. Or perhaps, it could be the guys you date, they may be the kind to not want to take the blame for something that caused the argument or they are trying to get out of something stated between you guys, or pretending like it never existed.

If they are complaining about the specific thing then it is more likely than not that you actually are being quite manipulative. Maybe you should stop doing that.

Usually because women do that. They do love to twist words and use what you have said against you.. if he said it, then it’s probably true.
