My fiance refused to subscribe to my YouTube channel or ask his friends to join. I have only 11 videos and 13 subscribers.

I mean, I just started. So I begged him to subscribe but he refused. He said my channel is empty and he can't subscribe to an empty channel.

He wants me to work harder and in his words "hit at least 30 quality content" before he will subscribe and even ask his friends to join. And he has many friends, especially as he is into the media.

I strongly believe he is despising my days of little beginnings. I gave him ultimatum to subscribe but he is adamant and now I know he's serious.

What can I do?

My friend's husband subscribed to her empty channel that doesn't even have videos up to the numbers I have. That's why I felt I had to be on thesame page. But it's all good.

I understand how you feel. But ultimately that’s his choice. Plus giving him an ultimatum to subscribe? Really? I don’t like ultimatums. You can’t force someone to do something. I don’t like when women ask you to do things like that. I remember an ex asking me to promote her business at my work, telling me to tell my friends or when another ex who I dated had a little girl. She kept telling me to promote her little girl’s Girl Scout cookies. Men don’t like doing that. It’s almost embarrassing. Like dude I’m sorry for bringing this shit up but blah blah blah. He’s my friend, I’m not trying to make him purchase stuff from me. To make him feel sorry for me or something. For women that’s usually easier for them to do because most women do things similar to that so they get it. W men we don’t usually do stuff like that. So to bring that burden on my friends, not cool.

So you have very little content and your idea to make yourself more popular was to lie to the public by having your fiance and his friends subscribe just so you can get more attention. Nah he is right yeah you might get more attention but you haven't earned it and it would ultimately not help you improve. The best things in life require hard work. While I am sure you are putting in the work if you take shortcuts you won't grow and learn. Don't focus on how many subs you have. Focus on the quality of your videos and put them out there. If they are good people will come and they will sub. And even better if they are good your fiances friends will have the videos pop up on their feeds without any input from your fiance and THAT will be an accomplishment to be proud of.

It is a perfectly legitimate choice on his part. Subscription is based on the videos being made, NOT based on who is making them.

... Well, I say that, yet I subscribed to my friend for support despite not really being interested in his videos, so I guess I'm a hypocrite...
BUT in terms of pure values, he is perfectly right in the choice he made.

Really though... 13 subscribers is baby numbers. I mean honestly even my 2103 subscribers is baby numbers. Youtube is one hell of a high mountain to climb.

Work your ass off and get the 30 quality contents you are asked to do. Just because you have some videos on there all of a sudden you think you are entitled to subscriptions? lol you need to actually put in the work needed to get the followers.. being a content creator (when it’s content worth watching, not this only fans, spread your legs and here you are shit) is extremely had work. Do especially if he is in media, he knows what it takes.. listen to him and actually try to follow through with it.

I wouldn't want to be pressured to force my friends to join since i'd only recommend it to them if they genuinely like the content. But obviously I would subscribe to her youtube channel and follow what she is doing because I'd love to know what she is posting.
