Are men embarrassed about complimenting perfumes?

I am big on perfume and i enjoy wearing different scents but i have noticed a lot of men apologize and tell me they don’t want to sound rude or disrespectful but want to know the name of my perfume. I also had an uber wait until he dropped me off and then as i was exiting he said WAIT what is your perfume lmao. I was thinking the whole ride he was quiet but wanted to ask when i left maybe to not make it an awkward ride i appreciate that but i was thinking does that intimidate men cause I don’t think anything is wrong with asking for perfumes and i often want to ask people too! I don’t think its creepy what do y'all think would you get creeped?

I don't know, I have done it on occasion. I think I tend to like different scents than lots of women. I prefer more spicy scents, I think more women like floral scents. Now, what I'm not going to say is "I don't care for your perfume". If on the other hand, I notice a scent I do really like, I may mention it. Remember to be careful though, even something that smells good can be overwhelming if you use too much. One last hint, though I like patchouli, it seems impossible not to use too much.

I really really want to try some but I don't know which I should be trying or what men do like this much as I'm not so much outgoing person also never tried any perfume before but I really... And yes men get embarrassed about it because already society tag them as creepy. If a woman stares at men they are looked normal but if men stares any lady they tag them as harassment. If a woman touch or kiss any men inappropriately without asking them it's normal but if a man do so it's harrasment. And smelling some lady's perfume means they are smelling their odur so ofcourse no men would have enough courage to do so unless they really really want to know and can't help asking.

I mean I don’t agree with that there is a reason men are viewed as a threat however that has nothing to do with perfumes i feel. Either way try hypnotic poison by dior with the almond note and try scandal by jean paul these two have men on a chokehold if you are on a budget try gold couture by juicy couture and if you want to splurge go for delina by de marley all these had men chase after me lmao

No we’re not embarrassed to ask. We’re just cautious. A lot of women have made things so difficult these days for men to approach women so we’re very cautious or we don’t even approach at all. If you’re not cute enough you come off as a creep whereas some dude who’s cute who ask the same question gets a better interaction w her. That’s why men aren’t really asking women out, or complimenting them. It’s sexual harassment to say oh you look nice today. There’s been girls who have accused men of rape because after he she had sex w him she regretted it. Or he broke up w her so to get even w him she accused him of that. There’s too many risk involved w trying to talk to women. Now are all women like that? No. But you don’t know which ones are or aren’t. Why take a chance knowing you could possibly end up in legal trouble.

I've had many incidents with men literally being creepy to me and that means saying weird sexual things or touching me when I don’t even know… that is literally creepy. We did not convince ourselves that these incidents are creepy they literally are the definition of creepy.

No. But think about WHY he asked. He probably did like the smell. And wanted to know what it was to get it for his girlfriend. Conversely if he asked mid car trip. It might have had you pondering why. Does this guy find me attractive? Is he coming on to me? If he does it at the end he can get the information without ad you said "making it awkward".

Honestly I barely even notice the presence of perfume. Personally I think perfume is something more for women noticing it on other women. My wife constantly comments on other women’s perfume and I’m like oh okay I didn’t notice.

Sorry about that but is it only women’s perfume that gives you a headache? Also perfume is part of my culture so its pretty common everywhere

For me it's only women's perfume that I react to. And I'm not the only one. In a previous job (before COVID) my office banned women's perfume because so many people had a bad reaction to it or found it annoying. There were a couple of women who wore way too much and it was overwhelming for everyone else. I don't mind a woman wearing light perfume that I only smell when I get really close to her, but perfume that is strong enough for people to smell when they are 5 feet or more away from her is a bad thing.
