Think about what we were probably like before language really developed. I can see it now in my mind...

Actually women are more visual than men. They pay attention to the way a man looks not just physically, but they pay attention to the details in his personal hygiene, how his face looks, teeth, etc. You will more often see a guy pursuing an imperfect looking woman than a woman pursuing an imperfect looking guy.

Women are also more visual than men in the sense of social situations. They worry more about what they look like talking to a guy or him talking to her in social situations. It's also why women tend to be more socially nervous than men.
