Do some guys actually take a while to warm up to girl?

Is that because they like her or not?

Does giving a girl awkward smiles mean anything? Or if his voice changed to a more gentle voice? If she asked for help, he would help her as best as he can? He share his secret agenda. Does any of this means anything?

This was actually only in one day (6 hours) at a volunteering event... Am I just reading into this too much?

A lot of guys will want to get to know a girl well before dating her, but there are plenty of guys who would get with a girl the first time they met. Everyone is different, and shows interest in different ways. An awkward smile could mean he was trying to avoid being caught staring at you.

It's hard not to read too much into these types of situations. Its normal to be curious. I don't think that any of the signs you saying are bad, but we can't make a definitive opinion. The only person who knows for sure is the guy himself.

Thanks. I am just clueless. He was wearing sunglasses so I can't tell if he was staring.

I hate that. Girls always wear those big sunglasses that cover up half of their face and you can't really tell what they look like or where they are looking. :D
