Is the main criteria for characterizing an Alpha Female being bossy?

Real alpha females aren't bossy bitches.. Those are what I'd call sigma. They are insufferable, and blame their issues on everyone else.

Real alpha women are the ones who are actually independent while still understanding the necessity of being a wife and a mother. Recognizing that while she does not need a man, having a man is something that make her life better. A real alpha woman does not stand in front of her man, she stands next to him, having his back no matter the cause.. The ones like you describe would find it insulting to stand next to her man.. She would find it insulting to be a mother, to be a wife. She would find it insulting to understand that men are indeed needed.

Call me whatever you want but I am the second woman you described, and a proud loving mother as well. I did have by boyfriend 's back until he died suddenly September 8 - 6 months ago.
So now I must take care of myself and I am so glad I have the skills to do so.

I'm damn near 70 and I am not just "picking the wrong guys".
I have been divorced for 44 years, so no, I'm not out there picking the wrong guys.

I suppose they think I picked the wrong guy again because my boyfriend whom I loved so much suddenly died September 8 of last year. Did I choose the wrong guy again?
These people on here are making me feel terrible when, like you said, I'm a good person.
Did they just want to bring these tears I have in my eyes? Does it make them feel better about themselves to make a woman cry by saying untrue things to her?

I honestly don't like the terms 'alpha' OR 'beta' to describe anyone, because everyone I know has qualities which could put them into both brackets.
