Girls, Were they flirting or just not caring?

So I am writing this on behalf of a male friend of mine to prove to him something. He and I went to a local store and there were two decently good looking young women behind the cash register. He and I were the only two customers in the store you could hear them being giggly and at first someone quietly talking about something. So again I knew that they were young and they were talking about someone being sexy and then the conversation went to how long it had been since they had had sex. The other one asked with a male or female? To which the younger one replied male and when we walked around the corner they just kept smiling at my male and talked to him for several minutes they made a point to speak to only him. Like I didn't even exist. He and I are not in any way shape or form romantically involved we are just friends but they didn't know that. And from my perspective they did everything but basically fondle and jump him on the spot. He works law enforcement they were even trying to get him to arrest the other and things like that. He doesn't think they were flirting he thinks they were just being young kids and not caring. So I want to get some other opinions.

No, that behavior is the one of 2 friends having a ball trying to flirt heavily with your male friend.

He may have been oblivious to it or did not want you to believe that they were flirting but the way you describe the scene, it does appear to be pretty heavy flirting.

Now, it could just be a game those girls are playing out of sheer boredom but since they seem to have been talking about intimate relations with each other while you and your friend were in the store, it could also be that they tried to motivate themselves to be bold and flirt with customers. Whatever it was, I do believe that they were flirting.
