He invited me to a work event at a baseball game yesterday. We aren’t really dating, both in agreement of being friends for now. I don’t understand why he invited me?

when I showed up one of his coworkers blurted out infront of me and him “oh I’ve heard about you! He has talked about you!”

we got pretty drunk and I am worried I made a complete ass of myself infront of everyone but they also seemed to like me? Overall it went pretty well I’m just confused here of where he’s at or why he’s doing these things when we both agreed let’s just be friends and see where it goes.
