Am I overthinking the fact that he can't see me?

He is in the military and they told him he is on alert til next year. We're long distance. He said it would not be beneficial to visit him now because what if he gets called out. But I don't care! I just want to see him even its for a few minutes. We talk every day so it's not like he ignores me, but I just want to see him. Does him not wanting to see me be a reason to break up?

I feel like you’re more worried about him breaking up with you than you are concerned with whether or not this type of relationship actually will continue to work for you or not. I could be misunderstanding completely, but it sounds like you run the risk of not seeing him until next year, and that’s a tough pill to swallow when we are barely into June. LDRs are not meant to be long term, and even if they are, regardless there should be some sort of silver lining. How can you continue in the relationship when things are this dead-end? I’d love and companionship really worth this type of hurt? I don’t think so.
