- He was probably interested in you at first, which is why he took things further by wanting to meet your family. That's usually a sign someone sees a potential future.

- But then he must have met this other girl who he was really physically attracted to right away. Some guys are shallow and will ditch a good thing for a hotter option.

- By meeting your parents, he maybe felt secure that you were into him so he didn't think there would be any risk in dumping you suddenly for the new girl. Total jerk move.

- In the future, I'd avoid introducing a guy to your parents until you've been exclusively dating for a good few months at least. Not every guy who shows interest is looking for something serious.

- Pay more attention to how a guy treats you overall, not just nice words and gestures. His actions proved he wasn't as committed as you thought.

You definitely deserve better than that. Don't let this experience make you lose faith - there are caring guys out there too who won't play games. Take some time and don't rush into anything serious with the next one.
