Do you think this guy is a fool?

I had one guy on this site telling me a woman in her mid twenties is still a child and so if she commits a crime it's not as bad as if she was 30 because then she knows what she is doing.

I think I know where this is coming from. Spoiler alert think it is BS.

With MRI's it was possible to understand our brain much better. Before than it was larger based on battle field injuries - almost entirely a male database. But with MRI's it was possible to look inside our skulls and assuming blood flow meant that was the location we were thinking in we were able to infer something of how the brain worked. Shock Horror... it was found male and female brains worked differently. That had to be suppressed for a while because it was politically highly incorrect.

But we also found out that the brain changes as it matures. At that time it was thought female brains were fully matured at 20 but males did not reach mature structure till 25.

Now I see 25 being quoted for both genders but that could easily be due to political correctness. Haven't checked.

So this guy is saying that until 25 a young man or woman is not fully adult and is therefore a child and therefore has diminished responsibility. It is bullshit because in reality your brain grasped bad and good by 5 years old

Yes, he's an idiot. You might have a rare individual who was extremely sheltered who doesn't understand how the world works into their 20s, or someone who has mental development issues, but aside from those rare exceptions, if you are in your 20s, you are 100% responsible for your actions and for the consequences that come with them. I've more-or-less been responsible for myself since I was about 12, so if you can't do it by the time you are 20, you shouldn't have any of the privileges of adulthood either.

I mean, I could kind of see why he could see that since in your 20s you're just trying to figure out how adulthood works. But people in their 20s are still adults regardless of view.

That is complete and total BS.
In the eyes of the law, if you commit a crime in your mid twenties regardless of gender you get tried as an adult.

In my view, if a woman commits a crime in her mid twenties she is an asshole and if another woman commits the same crime in her 30s, she’s an asshole.

I didn't say that.  You  alleged that. Yes, in my eyes young women in their 20s, mainly early and mid, are still kids. And I stand by that. A 20something year-old girl who is sleeping with a teenager is a crime, and she knows what she's doing, and it's just as bad as a 30 year-old doing it with a teen. Don't twist stories so that people will support you. Tell the facts of the conversation like they are.
