Why would my close guy friend compare me to his exes?

Okay so I have a close guy friend who I have a crush on. So whenever we hangout together and I say some things he always says it reminds him of his exes. For eg. Whenever I react to something over dramatically or something. Now, I sometimes feel that he has feelings for me and him comparing me to his exes so much makes me feel like he sees me in that romantic light. Do you think it's possible that he likes me?
