Did I screw up by being honest with my boyfriend about his lips?

My boyfriend sent me a post in which it showed different types of lips and asked me about the type of lips he has. I chose the one that looked like his and he replied with, cmon it can't be that bad. He then went into a full blown meltdown about how I think his lips are ugly and I don't like kissing him, I shot down his confidence etc etc but I never ever said that. I tried explaining to him that his lips aren't bad and I never said anything about them, but he just wouldn't budge. Did I screw up?

This is the post he sent me and I chose 7 for him, and he started accusing me of calling him ugly.

Also, it's a little odd that the guy is so into his own looks. How did "thin upper lip, plump bottom lip" (#7) suddenly make him flip out? Did he want you to pick one of the more feminine lips? None of that makes sense.

I think you can prove it by choosing a photo of him at his best and cropping the photo, cropping the photo of his lips and sending it to him, then explain why the cropped photo of his lips is the same as your choice and how he has a good smile or lips and your impression when looking at his lips..
