Many guys don´t leave their room because they spend of the day in front of a screen. That´s so because screens/machines and engines are programmed to challenge a guy´s sense for challenge and competition better than real life. So from a young age guys develop their interest in video games and later it´s close to impossible for them to get rid of it.
It´s the danger of modern society as guys communicate less with their body and more verbal than girls and they often don´t need to meet and talk that much with each other they are ok with being alone in a room.

Working. Reading. Watching TV. Playing video games. Listening to music. Sleeping. But most of all, they are enjoying their PEACE.

Most women cannot grasp how much most men value peace, and most men don't get nearly enough of it. So when they DO get a chance to get some peace, they're quick to take advantage of it. And if they don't own their own home or apartment to themselves, then they're going to retreat to their room, where the space is their own, and they can be left alone, to recharge their batteries and be ready to face the chaos of the world tomorrow.
