When you talking in a group, why does the guy doesn’t look at you?

We was a group of five people, and I was talking to the other guy I knew for along time and I knew him for about a year. When I was talking he didn’t look at me with a straight face. But, I went outside and then he went outside the same time, I guess because his car was 2 mins away. But, I talk to him and he voice was light and soft, like he didn’t want to talk to me for some reason. I think he was upset with me because I didn’t talk to him which I did. Then he scan my body but looked nervous. Then, got in the cab
