If you told a guy all we ever will be is friends, why does he still want access to me on social media if he likes me?

Yeah, I mean he might make a move on you or not. He might be too shy to but I guess he might just want to be in the background for now

I could accept, just to be polite and maybe friends. But if he insists I'd just ignore him if I'm sure I don't want more than friendship with him.
