How many men that are just awkward get confused for creeps or even psychos?

I was watching a couple short, horror films of a serial killer. The obvious signs are there; he talks weird to women, walks very awkward and is a total creep. While that at sometimes be the case, it's the always true. Other times, the very outgoing, polite man with charisma or your friendly next door neighbor can be the actual psycho.

Now I'm wondering, how many of those men that act similar like that aren't psychos at all. How many of those that talk strange, walk awkwardly, say the wrong things or have odd behaviors are just suffering from social anxiety or just don't know how to talk to people overall and can accidentally give killer vibes... but are actually harmless, even innocent?

I was reminded of my male cousin upon writing this questions. He suffered for social anxiety and would be mistaken for a scary creep. This would get him depressed. He's getting treated though.

Yes awkward and honest about things as a matter of fact it just happened to me today I'm here I answered the question about a friend if a friend was a pornstar would it turned me on or something like that

And I gave my answer and the girl for whatever reasons she doesn't even know me are the type of friendship that my friend and I have that I was talking about that she called me a creep and told me that I really wanted to get into her pants and I had to laugh about it because it is the complete opposite..
And the kind of find that was kind of gross even to think that I would get into her pants because of how many guys she has been with but anyway so I had to laugh about being called a creep

The Unabomber was able to walk around for years because although his beliefs were unusual, he was a well spoken, highly educated man.

Being "awkward" - and I say this as a man who is generally extroverted, but extremely shy when trying to break the ice in an individual setting (especially with women) - no more makes you a psychopath or sociopath than any other trait. The media has created the myth of the socially inept behaviour being indicative of a psycho. Actually, the opposite is true. The most common description when a serial killer or mass shooter is caught or killed is "he was a quiet person who kept to himself, but was always willing to help".

Give the shy people in society a break...

Who knows. There is a lot of guys who are creeps. Then there are a lot just misunderstood.
There is not really a easy way to figure out beside their actions and honesty but if they do well at tricking you then that's that.

Most abusers to killers etc they grow up from a not so good childhood. So if someone has no sign of trauma in their personality but should have that's a worrying sign. Because they are hiding it, and there is no way it hasn't impacted them.
So if they are hiding the way it has and acting normal that's a major red flag.

Well there are stereotypes for a reason sometimes these people become very bitter from being rejected all the time.

But never just base it off looks alone sone people are really just your average person….. On the outside they seem completely normal other times they may seem to have it all. But deep down tjehre a monster.

Good and bad people come in many forms sone are the people you least expect.

Actually autistic guys (not just dumbasses that self diagnose, or guys who disregard some social norms) have it so fucking rough from women. They're ostracized and considered to be villains, while guys like me are 10x more likely to be the actual villains. It's fucked up.

If he's really has Asperger Syndrome then it really must be bad for him. Those are autistic guys that can get a job and even go to college but can having issues forming an intimate, romantic relationship.

Yes of course. Some men are just socially and/or physically awkward and not necessarily psychos or creeps. And if they are that way they probably don't have much experience with relationships with women so they don't know how to behave.

From what I have seen, the actual serial killers often have diminutive builds. They are weak compared to strong men and they kill women or kids to feel powerful. I can't think of a single one of them that was 6' + tall and over 250 pounds.

I'm understanding more as it reminds me of my male cousin. He kept wondering what he did wrong after asking a girl what her favorite food was. The girl excused herself and left fast, mistaking him for a creep with bad intention. I think it was also the fact that he started a random conversation at 8ish pm so that makes it worse.
He suffered from social anxiety and I think might even have issues reading some social cues. He was depressed and is getting treated. If I didn't know him well, I might have wrongly confused him too.

Part of it is after Me Too women were taught that all men are creeps and psychos, so no one gets a chance.
