What does it mean if someone calls you traditional?

A man I’ve just started seeing called the way I view sex and relationships traditional, what does this mean and is it a good or bad thing?

I am only going to guess that he means traditional values in regards to sex and relationships. Now, what does that mean? Traditional can actually be subjective. Traditional to some might have religious implications like wait for marriage to have sex. Some others view traditional totally different. It really depends on your views (which you don't mention) about relationships and intimacy. As for if it is good or bad, I have no clue because I don't know if he views traditional women good... or bad. Maybe he doesn't like your approach to relationships and intimacy. Maybe he does indeed like it. I'm not a mind reader so I have no clue if he views it as a good thing or bad thing. I can only assume if he is still seeing you then it isn't a bad thing or he would most likely move on.

It depends on your point of view. Traditionalist just means you like the patterns of the people who came before you when it comes to love and marriage, you enjoy the formula they set up and are content with having that be the end of it. It can mean that he doesn’t see you as very open-minded to new ideas about sex and romance, but there’s no shame in knowing what you like and sticking to it.

Traditional: it reminds me of musicals like The Sound of Music, Fiddle on the Roof, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and yes, the Bible.

It coves not just saving virginity until marriage.

It further includes a chaperone when young couple dates, girls staying home learning to become homemaker and Guys working hard to become the breadwinner.

And if it were me using the word on a girl, it sure is a compliment to her. In my mind she's a chaste virgin, hard worker at home, patient and feminine.

(I'll leave it to him to answer his definition of the word traditional. Hence ask him.)

It depends. Most people don’t know what a traditional relationship really is and it’s breeding grounds for people of both sexes getting used as well as abused.

If done right it works… But a lot of narcissists want the benefits of it without putting any effort in themselves. Both people should be working equally as hard in different roles.
