Guys- can we talk text?

me and this guy were talking for a while and he’s a very shy and has admitted he’s socially awkward with girls and doesn’t know what to do. we stopped talking because of a miscommunication and both of us got our feelings hurt.

i’ve been seeing him around and he’s always looking at me when i’m not looking and occasionally making eye contact because we both look so much. i decided to text him and ask if we can talk and he turned off his active after and has had me on delivered for a couple days.

should i keep waiting is there a chance he’ll respond? or should i just delete the chat and move on

He's shy and socially awkward. You will either have to push it forward yourself, or take the chance that you will wait forever.

You have no control over what he does. But you do have control over what you do. But do it in person.

Yes, you should try again IN PERSON. If he is shy and awkward, do it when you have privacy. Go slowly so you don't scare hm off.

Ever try to get a scared kitten to come to you? Well, it's the same idea. Slow and no fast moves. And have patience. I know that might not sound "manly" of him. But if he comes out of his shell it might do worlds of good for him and give him more confidence.

what would i say to him? he hasn’t texted me back yet and if he doesn’t by the time i see him in person again im not sure what i could say other than asking to talk again but in person this time

Talk about anything. Talk about the same kind of stuff you talked about before. Or talk about the miscommunication, and offer an apology if it's called for.

If you are not good at carrying on a conversation, try to get some practice. Think of things you have in common. Ask question about his life.
