Do you think I did something wrong and will he forgive me?

I'm on vacation without my boyfriend (we are living together) and a had a major breakdown yesterday which leaded to him saying..."you irritate me, just leave me alone"

I saw him being online the entire day without texting me at all. I was the one who initiated all the conversation.

At the end of the day I had an argument with my family and was left alone. I felt the urge to talk to him and called him. We spoke for like 15 minutes till he had to prepare for the gym. He promised to call back later, but wasn't so sure.

I don't know what happened to me, but I called him again 2 hours later, he responded saying he is with his friends and I got disappointed. He said I'm gonna text you when I get home.

20 minutes later I texted him "call me when you are home".

He left me on seen for another 20... and I got really worried. I called him again and he declined. Later he wrote me" you are starting to irritate me, I told you something... leave me alone".

I asked him if he is going to call... he said "no, I won't"

I feel so desperately awful.

Damn sis, that does sound like a super stressful situation. A few thoughts:

- Seems like you were both dealing with separate stresses - you from fam issues, him from gym/friends. Emotions were probably already high.

- Calling/texting repeatedly when he said he'd contact you later was probably too much for him in that moment. Guys need space too.

- But his tone of "leaving me alone" and not explaining was a bit harsh. Communication is key, especially long distance.

- Give him tonight to cool down. Reach out calmly tomorrow saying you didn't mean to stress him and you care about understanding his feelings too.

- Express you were just worried being apart and felt alone in your fam issues. But also say you'll respect his boundaries next time.

- Coming from a place of care, not accusation, is important. Compromise on checking in less is probably needed.

Chin up sis! Once heads are clear you can work it out. Absence makes heart grow fonder and all that. Just a little bump - you got this to move past it stronger.

Look, breakdowns happen, and wanting to talk to your boyfriend during a rough time isn’t wrong. But when he said, “leave me alone,” it’s clear he needed space. You reaching out a couple of times might’ve felt desperate, especially since he was busy. Just give him some time to cool off, and let him come to you. If he cares, he’ll reach out when he’s ready. It’s tough, but don’t beat yourself up over it. Just focus on yourself for now, and things will work themselves out.
