Why would a guy that received a letter I had written want to run away from me immediately the day after having read it?

Earlier this week, I had written a letter to a guy to discuss our relationship. Around the same time , a day after having received the letter, he refused to see me let alone be near me in class or around our campus for reasons unknown to me.

He used to be a good friend of mine and one I would love to get to know more and become reacquainted with. We’ve been on better terms but he always seem to run away from me whenever I’m around and refuses to look at me. This is what the letter was addressing, but so far I haven’t gotten any form of a response. I often see his talking with our school’s college counselor. What could he be thinking? Will he ever respond? These are the question I ask myself.

You mean a real letter on paper, written with a pen, put in an envelope, stamped and snail mailed to a real mailbox standing at the side of the road?

He probably thinks that you are odd and weird and that you have some psychological issues and that you live in the past. Seriously, is that even a thing nowadays?

What happened here is that he felt pressured into acting or giving you an answer, something that guys usually are very bad at. When you state " I would love to get to know more...", that means that you want more than just friendship and that is probably where the problem lies.

He does not want the closeness that you desire.

He might be hesitant to commit or feel pressured.
