Men aren't interested in pursuing. The ones that do pursue go after 10s. The idea that men are chasing women and doing the most to get the woman of their dreams is like 60 years old. None of my friends, me included, are going to go out of their way to prove their worth to a woman. The way I see it, there should be an equal effort to make a relationship happen.
