Despite having been bullied repeatedly throughout his grade school and teen years, he says he's much the better for the abuse and intimidation, exemplifying and reinforcing the belief of many, that this rite of passage has been unfairly portrayed, and I've read numerous comments on here from women who agree with his opinion.

There's balance when it comes to this topic. Intentionally bullying kids that have zero control over something (like being short, an unpopular race, deformities, etc...) is something we should push kids away from, but they are definitely also a fact of reality. So kids really need to learn to stand up to it and to ignore what shitty people say to them. We can't only focus on shielding kids or they'll never get stronger. Because bullying will never go away.

In the end, kids need to be tought not only that bullying is wrong but also how to deal with bullying. We can reduce its occurrence and reduce its harm at the same time.

I hate bullies. I think some people, like this man, can grow from the experience... but, others can become jaded and bitter.

I was bullied in highschool. The only thing I learned was to defend myself... maybe too much 😂 smart a$s mouth!

It is true, it is not how you get knocked down, but how quickly you get back up again. Sadly, we now live in a world where many people just stay down and simply give up.

Some girls used to bully me in high school when I was overweight. I got called all the fat names being 190 lbs. One day I was in the bathroom and both came in and started in with me. It was just us three in there. I had enough of their taunts so put my weight to work. I was the only one that walked out of that bathroom on their own 2 feet. They never said anything to anyone as they would not want it know that the fat girl kicked both of their asses. 🤛🏼👊🏼🤜🏼👢😎
