What's your opinion about bullying?

Personally I hate bullies and bullying. But some think that bullying someone is a big deal and you become the man/woman of the year! What's your opinion?

I think bullying comes in a lot of different formats. People like to think a bully is of a generic cut-out. They imagine a bully of a jock-type who gives wedgies to nerds during their lunch break.

Well, I can tell you first hand that a lot of these nerds bully people as they become older. I've been bullied at university as an undergraduate engineering student. I've been called stupid meathead plenty of times when in reality I have a 3.9 GPA. I'm not going to lie and say it never got under my skin when I first started studying. It made me feel like I was out of place. I didn't let it get to me to the extent of quitting though.

A common tactic is for these guys to sit there and insult you indirectly speaking in riddles that they only really understand. The bystander effect is a thing. I don't need people to save me though, I can call them out on my own and do it every time.

I've also seen professors bully students into their way of thinking as well. In general, I've seen a lot of bullying at university.

I have a lot of harsh humor but I've always been able to pride myself in being able to bully the bullies. True bullies absolutely hate me because I can cut through bullshit till they are transparent.

Yeah, true! You need a team to handle them, and sometimes that doesn't help too.

I was bullied and my old headteacher would scream at me. it's fine cause she and some 'gangster' got done for not paying immigrant workers

My school handle bullying so badly. There are so many people in my year who are or have been bullied, it's not fair.
