I won't bore you with details about my being bullied all the 18 years at school but today on the tram I heard kids talking to each other about bullies and that made me remember my own experiences with bullies.
Bullies can make fun of a lot of things about you - hair, dressing style, wealth, weight, even sexuality but the one thing I've never heard them do is make fun of the victim about who the victim likes. For instance, at high school I had a crush on the only girl in our class and when the three bullies found out about that, I was expecting more harassment from them but they never said or did anything about that. Ofc they forced me to admit that through the force of fists, but once I told them, they left me alone and stopped harassing me altogether which even nowadays I still think it's weird. It's like bullies have some kind of unwritten law not to bully you over the girls you like. What do you think?

Why bullies never make fun of you liking anyone, in your opinion?
I don't know what a college is. Around here we start school when we're 6 years old and graduate when the most of us are 19-20, but I graduated 3 years after everyone else bc in the year that was supposed to be my last my asthma got a lot worse because of pollens, I was almost constantly sick and I had a prolonged program of studying. Then there was the university which was supposed to be 4 years but I gave up in the second year, mostly bc of financial problems. There were bullies in the university too but I dealt with them easily - that's where I learned you gotta dig up dirt on people if you wanna keep them on a leash. But that still counts regardless. I said "18 years of school" as a general term. Around here we use the word "school" for all kinds of educational facilities and sometimes I forget that difference.
Proabably because they also respected that girl that you liked. Or else they'd bully both of you, right? It's mostly happening before high school, people talk shit about others for liking someone. They have to be immature and cold hearted to do so, and it does happen.
I am so sorry that you were bullied. I wish I had been there, I would have stood with you. If we got beat down then, I would at their houses with a 2×4. I freakin' hate bullies above all else. So, that is a mystery... why indeed. Guess 1 the were aroused by girl on girl thoughts Guess 2 somebody convinced then to not mess with your girl ... Other than that... not a clue
