If you ask how can guys love one girl but still screw other girls, I would say that most guys don't do that - but certainly some do. Except most of those who do don't really love the one girl - they only love themselves and their self-centeredness is usually not a secret to anyone. Still, even if they have SOME feelings for her, you need to understand that men can separate sex from love, and so most of those men justify it by saying that the other girls are JUST SEX - and that is true - they don't care much of anything about the GIRL (s) they are banging on the side, just the sex they're getting from her - but the real lie is that they loved the main girl in the first place.

A "friends with benefits" situation has NOTHING to do with love. friends with benefits is JUST SEX. friends with benefits is NOT a "step on the path towards a relationship", and in fact, being friends with benefits means it's LESS likely, not more likely, that you'll ever get a relationship with that guy. If you agree to be friends with benefits, you are agreeing to have sex for the sake of having sex, with NO expectations of there ever being a romantic relationship. That's what friends with benefits is.

The problem is that a lot of girls get into a friends with benefits thinking that she's going to somehow leverage that into a relationship - BUT THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. And anyone who believes they're going to turn it into a relationship is the one violating the rules of a friends with benefits, NOT the person who doesn't want to turn it into a relationship.

It's kind of like renting a car for a week, paying the one-week rate, and then expecting that you're going to get to keep the car to own when the week is up. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS, and if those were your expectations, then you are the one who is in the wrong.
