Guys, my good male friend is also my roommate, and I’m getting mixed signals. What does he really mean?

Overheard a conversation where my male roommate (who also is close friend and occasional sex partner) was asked if “we have a thing”, and he told them that “he loves me as a person, but is not attracted to me”.

He also answered part of a different question about moving together to our next place and why he’s doing it (which will be a complicated country setup) as “It’ll be good for her.” Not sure how you can have sex with someone more than once and not be attracted to them. But even if that’s true, does that mean that he could never be attracted to me?

And wouldn’t his desire for what’s good for me and concern for my well being indicate that he may want a relationship in the future? Appreciate thoughtful feedback on this.

Well some people just have sex for fun…. Some people don’t build normal relationships like others do and for some it’s just that….

I think you should reevaluate and not have sex with people loosing your self control because I assume it started the same way for you. But with anything causal most of the time one person becomes more attached then the other.

Some people send mixed signals intentionally to play mind games. Others do it inadvertently because they don’t really know how they feel themselves.
