Told guy I like him and since found out he’s married, how can I rectify this?

I told a guy I liked him recently as we had been flirting a lot and I am very attracted to him.

He didn’t really respond at the time as we were interrupted. I’ve since found out he’s married.

I feel a bit of an idiot for saying this now, as there’s no way I would have said it if I’d known he was married.

We still see each other through mutual friends, so I’m wondering if I should talk to him and say to ignore what I said, because I don’t what him to feel awkward and like I still like him?

i kind of want to move on and just being part of the friends group, without him thinking I must really like him. How would you approach this? Say something or leave it?

I’d say something to him. Explain that you didn’t know he was married, and you’d like to be friends— without it being awkward.

Go to him in private and say, "I apologize if my statement made you feel awkward. I woujld have never expressed any interest in you if I had known that you are married. I would never pursue someone in a committed relationship."
