A guy was giving me lots of attention by love gazing, intense eye contact and checking me out over a few months. The intensity or sexual tension felt like you could have cut the air with a knife.
Anyway we didn’t see each other for a month and the next time I saw him, he didn’t make any eye contact and seems to make a real effort not too.
Is it really that easy to turn on and off attraction for guys? Does that mean he’s no longer attracted or is he hiding his feelings?

Depends on the guy.
Also, that's not considered "turning on and off". He didn't see you for a month. If that was a fireplace and you hadn't tended to it for a month, would you still expect it to be lit? Nope. Same with the guy. Why would he still be into you if you haven't been in touch with each other for a month?
No, he's probably not HIDING anything. A guy's facial expressions tend to tell you what you need to know about his interest level.
Ok thanks, yeah I was travelling overseas hence the month we didn’t see each other, I guess it depends, because for me not seeing him for a month, made me more interested.
That's unusual. I don't think of absenteeism as being connected to any level of interest. If you're interested you keep communications going. If he was interested in you he would have reached out to you regardless of travel, etc.
Yeah ok thank you
He probably still has it. I'm usually once attracted always even without showing
Thanks, so the girl wouldn’t necessarily know you were attracted?
Yep easily
Would you ignore her or just not engage in conversation or just act normal?
Probably if she hasn't shown enough interest
My intense eye contact with my crush was entirely accidental, but my desire as not.
