I can't speak from experience since I have never been "desparate" for anyone. I have liked people but desparation is pretty extreme. It is also likely the answer to your question. She is desparate and doesn't want to give up or accept the rejection. That is literally a perfect example of the definition of rejection. Now it could even be more sinister and this person has a stalking/obsession type problem. That is where it can become dangerous. You hear about this from time to time in the news. Someone is so obsessed it brings danger to the other party. Often that is when you see people file restraing orders. I would say that is a pretty rare thing and the more likely cause is the woman not accepting or unable to face rejection.

If he doesn't want her he should block and distance himself from her to convey a clear message. She'll catch on and leave him alone.
