It is acceptable for a boy & a man to cry,

showing your emotions isn’t unmanly or emasculating, it is a part of being human. You are able to advocate your own emotions, care for your mental & emotional well being in healthy and meaningful ways rather than going in alone which is more manly and shows courage not weakness.

There are assholes who would push this onto me at the age of 12, I won’t push this onto others because your voice & your feelings & your emotions matter.

Mother Nature gave us all tear ducts... to use. Crying is perfectly natural. I cried when each of my parents died. It helped with the grief.

People who claim men can’t cry are many men who have a lot of pain inside and a woman who offers zero emotional support to the point where he can’t even be safe inside his own house. Eventually emotions come out in some way whether that’s sadness, anger, and other normal emotions that for some reason some people (not all people) shun them for. Happens to women too where people say they’re over sensitive when they don’t know the whole story.

The Bible even says that a woman who doesn’t comfort her husband during hard times creates shaking knees.

As I've experienced yes. I've learned to never cry in front a woman especially. They hate you for doing it. They will call you a pu$$y and a coward. Even the female counselors I've had treated me like crap if I did it. Talking about physical abuse and the fear and terror of experiencing it is hard. Women do this thing that when a guy starts talking about his problems they get a brush and start brushing their hair. It's happened 3 times now. Only cry when you're completely alone. And never in front of another guy ever. My "family/would be killers" have a rule that you are NEVER to cry. You get beat if you do. Bad real bad. I lost a tooth once because my step grandfather was drunk and beat me then I started crying and he really started beating me. I had to get stitches in my face because I cried.

It's because we're supposed to be hard. I think it comes from ancient hunting. Generally the males would hunt. We would hunt things like mastodons and big mean animals. We had to keep our selves together during a hunt so we could coordinate and take the animal down with as little difficulty as possible. Take a mastodon it's huge and it's pissed and doesn't want to die. By freaking out and breaking down during a hunt due to fear and stress we could get ourselves and others killed. So men learned to suppress our emotions. And crying became a sign of weakness to the male hunters. And it's continued to this day. Unfortunately.
