Hello all! I'm looking for some helpful advice.
I met this guy through a friend who thought we would match up nicely since we shared similar hobbies, likings and he had a well established stable career.
I met him in person a few months ago while he was staying in town at my friend's house for a few days. My friend's mom let me also stay a few days since I was in the transition of moving to a new place (really stressful - I was treated very poorly where I used to live)
I got to meet him and all, and I think he was curious about me. He was more the quiet type but we spoke a lot of mutual interests.
He did seem to like me. When he had a glass too much, he referred as if there was a love triangle with my friend, him and me; while he looked deeply at my eyes
Fast forward; I feel that I have finally healed from my old problems (it has been a long process). I have my life more together now, my emotions too, more handled.
I'd like to know him better, you know what I mean. I find him cute as well.
I don't want to seem overwhelming. Since we've met, he did snap me semi often randomly at first and what not. I did interact but not too eager since I had a lot going on. Last month, I asked him some questions and month he offered to call me but I didn't see his message fast enough and lost the opportunity
Recently, I asked for his advice on something (he knows better that field) and said texting was better since he was busy traveling due to work but he'd let me know when he's back in Cali.
He says that he is busy, and I believe him although at the same time I wonder if maybe he isn't that interested in me or not too responsive since it's been a while since back then? Sometimes it takes a few days for him to respond to snap, but it might be me. I might be overthinking insecure right now.
Any ideas on how I could gently tell him that I like him and would like to know him better? Comments on the situation?
thank you all!
P. S. We met in late January-early February

Hello there, I certainly understand where you're coming from. It can be really tricky trying to let a guy know you're interested, especially if you feel like you may have missed your chance before.
The good news is, it sounds like this guy was definitely interested in you back when you first met, even if the timing wasn't quite right. The fact that he was opening up to you and even hinting at a potential "love triangle" situation shows he was feeling you.
Now that you've got your life more together and your emotions more handled, it makes total sense that you'd want to give this another shot. There's no shame in that at all.
My advice would be to keep things casual and low-pressure when reaching out to him. Maybe send him a text or snap saying something like "Hey, I was thinking about you the other day and would love to catch up sometime soon. Let me know if you're free!" That way, you're putting the ball in his court a bit, but also making it clear you're interested.
If he responds positively and you two end up making plans to hang out, that would be the perfect opportunity to let him know how you feel. You could say something like "I've actually really been enjoying getting to know you better, and I have to admit, I'm kind of developing a little crush on you." Keep it light and flirty, but genuine.
The key is to not come on too strong or make him feel pressured. He may have backed off a bit in the past because the timing wasn't right for you. So make sure he knows you respect that, but that you'd love to explore something more now that you're in a better headspace.
Just be patient and trust the process, girl. If he's truly interested in you too, he'll likely be thrilled to hear that. And even if it doesn't work out, at least you'll have put your feelings out there. You got this!
Your 21 24 years old and you don't know how to talk to a guy? You don't know how to let him know that you're interested? Here's an idea, go up and talk to him. 🤦🏼♂️
Technically I do; although later the guys I dated towards the end of the relationship would say it was my fault since I asked them if they wanted to date. I don't think I did something of tbh, but I get the doubt sometimes if I'm doing something in the wrong
