If a guy friend gifts you a necklace for your birthday is it more than just friends?

My guy friend (21 M), who is also my brother’s best friend, gave me a crystal necklace for my birthday (which he made a custom twine, butterfly wrapping and tag for). I’ve been trying to figure out whether this is just a platonic (sister-like) gift, or whether it means something more? I’ve been feeling like there is something between us for a while now, but I’m not sure (just trying to figure it out as I know that I could make things awkward if I’m reading too much into it).

I do get a gut feeling (at times). We went out that night (as a group with some friends and my brother), he’s never really been touchy with me before but we kept ending up sitting next to one another and he pressed his leg up against mine (even though he had enough room not to), and he seemed to find ways to touch me, he even came up behind me and grabbed me at one point (all in fun). Another thing is that when we were alone, he said that “You are very beautiful” (which he’s never said anything alike before). As well, every time I went to the bathroom he’d go too and then wait for me (to then walk back). At one point I went to the bathroom alone, and he was still there waiting for me when I came out (which honestly I was kinda shocked at). I’d say we are usually pretty flirty with one another - but this felt a lot more than our usual interactions. There were other girls that he knows in our group and he didn’t seem like that with them? He is single. He’s also done little things for me in the past, but I never thought to read into anything too much (in case I was getting the wrong impression).
