Why would guy ask me out then keep himself busy to never go out?

A guy asked me out, got my number and we were texting. He was always working so we never went out but he said when he had time off from work he would take me out.

He only has to work 6 days but would choose to work 7 days straight. Then when he quit his job, instead of going out with me, he instead picked up another job immediately. So now we still can't go out.

Why go through the trouble of asking for my number, keep telling me he wants to take me out but then keep making himself busy on purpose?

I mean technically you wouldn't want to go out with a guy who is broke and not working, right? Also... it's rather selfish not to see HIS LIFE PROBLEM as being more important than some random agreement to take you out. Perhaps leave this guy in peace and go find someone who isn't grappling with his own life issues so he can dote on you the way you apparently want.

Who cares why? Why are you wasting time waiting around for that clown. He obviously doesn't want to go out with you. Move on. Finding out WHY he did it does nothing to help you. Move on.
