Do you think he likes me?

I have a guy friend whom I’ve known for about a year and a half, and a couple of months ago we started getting closer.

We have a mutual group of friends, and we hang out with them together. Sometimes, he and I hang out just the two of us. Our relationship is kind of like a situationship, and I can tell he’s gotten comfortable with me because he teases me all the time and shows his crazy side. He texts me about what’s going on in his life, and he calls me cute or says “nice makeup today” a few times, but he doesn’t say I’m pretty or beautiful 😔. also I don't know why he gave me a compliment about my makeup it’s same as usual.


This happened last week while we were watching a movie and cuddling. He was acting like a boyfriend, doing silly things, so I jokingly asked him, “So you don’t like me?” He responded with “What did you say?” I repeated it, and he said, “What are you talking about?” 😵 Then I asked him again, “Do you like me?” and he said, “You know why I’m here that’s the reason.”


in my head, so he likes me, but I feel like if he really likes me, he would just say yes or something like that. Or am I just overthinking?
