Yeah, it's odd when people are looking for sympathy or reassurance when you've never given them any reason to feel that way. I've honestly never dated a person like that. It's probably better than being with some arrogant person who thinks they're the hottest, and they never say sorry for anything, but there's gotta be a balance. You also don't want a person who's constantly needing reassurance. Then him saying you have a dry personality makes it sound like he's just strange. One minute he's apologizing, the next he's insulting you.
