Body Count Question?

So I have this male friend and we talk about different stuff ranging from very emotional to pushing the line with some sexual things but it never crosses the line of being overly sexual so me and him was talking about something and the thing is I told him I liked him months ago and he said that he is not ready for a serious relationship right now. But before I told him he started saying good girl to me when I do something that he wants me to do but it’s really playful but that doesn’t both me at all. I told him he can ask me one question and I’ll be completely honest with him and once I said that he took a second to think and without hesitation he said (What’s your body count?) I answered like I said I would but out of all of the questions he could have asked me why would he ask me that question?

Some guys care about the number because of twisted logic or a lack of self confidence. It could be a red flag or it could simply means that he is interested in having sex with you.

I did ask him but he didn’t tell me his number he just said it not a high number

I found it weird that he didn’t like I joked on a high number because of what he told me before but thats the thing its like we are friends but when we are talking he will ask me about other guy that he see me talk to at work like ohh who is that and wanting to know my relationship to them.
