4 moSTREET smart, YES! As for book smart, it's more about status then knowledge. I only have a Bachelor's degree, so I would say I find women with Masters or PhDs a threat, yes.
I'm a sapiosexual myself. I too need a deep emotional conversations and I lose my patience around stupid people. I guess I'm more intimidated/threathened by success/status then knowledge. Honestly, I feel more comfortable around girls that have no college degree, but still match my intelligence level. But I think up to Bachelor's is still fine, but anything greater and I feel inferior. The last girl who had a crush on me was a doctor and constantly made me feel worthless and inferior. So any girl that has a job that requires a Masters or PhD, I'm staying away from.
Otherwise, I need an intelligent woman. And I honestly get SHOCKED when I see someone dating a dumbass. Like talk about low standards.
I had a crush on this girl at work, until I realized how stupid she was. And she was in college. I know collegeless girls who are WAY more intelligent

4 moI have the deepest conversations with my husband, every time I talk to a woman, it's skin deep: make up, men, celebs, they complain about politics, etc. Things I couldnt care about.
Though my mum-in-law is also into deep talks or chats about horror and other crazy things.00 Reply

4 moI think some guys feel threatened by that, but it’s not true of all guys. Go to a good college or graduate program and you’ll find plenty of guys who aren’t.

Anonymous(45 Plus)4 moAbsolutely not. This hasn’t been a thing “lately” as you say. Most men have never really cared about a female’s intelligence. W that said most me have never really cared about her career either. It’s not a recent trend, it’s been like this for a long time. The reason why a lot of men think this way is because most of the time there’s no benefit in it to men. Sure she may make a lot of money, it most women aren’t going to pay half of everything as far as bills in a relationship. Most women still w at the man to make as much as her or more as well as still provide. What’s the saying, her money is her money, his money is their money. A lot of men will also say yes it’s important, to which yes some of them may be telling the truth. But a lot of men won’t tell her the truth cause they don’t want to mess up their chance at getting w her. If he said I like you because of your looks. You have a nice curvy body, it’s hot, sexy, etc. She’s probably going to get upset because she’s thinking really that’s all you see me for. So chances are she’s not going to want to give him a chance for him being honest. I mean who really goes home to their wife to have conversations about rocket science. Most men go home, talk to their wife. Ask her how her day was. What did you do. Would you like to go to dinner. I’m not saying men don’t want a complete moron either, but honestly intelligence for most men isn’t on the top of their list of the deciding factors of what they look for in a partner.

Anonymous(45 Plus)4 moMost women are not as deep as they think they are. There's difference between being deep and just being emotional. Or worse over-emotional.
It's rare when a guy can have a deep conversation with a woman without her JUDGING him six ways to Sunday. Men know this! Which is why generally you have two type of men. 1. The man who just says what's on his mind and let the chips fall where they may. And he won't be dating that woman for long, if it makes it past the first date. Or guy number 2 (aptly named number 2). He reads the non verbal cues and tells her exactly what she wants to hear. Because if he does that like guy number 1, there is no hope for a relationship either. But at least if he plays his cards right, at some point them panties are coming off.😆
Sorry if reality is a bitter pill for you. Good luck!👍
P. S. the reality is very few people are great matches for eachother. But with a good mix of compassion, empathy, and knowing your boundaries (and this goes for both men and women) you can improve your I odds.

4 moNO! Quite the opposite. I will only connect with women who can have those conversations. Whereas if a woman is physically attractive but not the brightest candle on the birthday cake, I lose interest really fast. I just can't fake it with a dimwit to get in her pants. I mean, where's that going? Nah, just not worth the effort of pretending to be interested. I don't want to be mean. I mean those women are what they are. But I'll manage her access to me and the amount of time I spend with her. Dumbing it down is just painful and exhausting for me. Whereas conversation with someone who can/will push me and challenge me is fun.
00 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Nah, it is not a threat. Intelligence, in a woman, is just over-rated is all.
Culturally it is OK for women to boast and big note themselves in a way that is not OK for a man to do. Just about every woman will tell you how smart they are but statistically it is unlikely for them to be that smart. So I'd thinking oh yeah sure.
Intelligence isn't on our mate selection criteria. So having it or not having is not a factor. Female mate selection criteria are not male mate selection criteria but women seem to falsely assume they are.
Boasting about how smart you are does indicate you are missing some of our key mate selection criteria. Like being co-operative and humble.

4 moIf the definition of a threat is "an indication of impending danger", then you could say that about all women :) LOL
But where's the threat... to what, have a great time? No, I don't feel that at all. In fact, the only people I really like are intelligent people, women or men. Stupid people always feel threatened and/or intimated by intelligent people.
For an intelligent woman, this is a real time saver. If you correctly perceive that a man feels intimidated because you're intelligent, you can dump him immediately. A brief conversation will tell you this.

u 4 mosome might... but not all of them
certainly not me, I'm not insecure like that
but... I do think this could be two different things as some people just want the sex, not the intimacy... and they just might not care if someone's smart or not00 Reply Strength is more masculine trait than intelligence so no much reason to feel threatened.
00 ReplyNo. Never have, never will. I used to care whether the girl I wanted to date was intelligent, but not anymore. I found out that... "less intelligent" women are easier to put in horizontal position, so I no longer care about how smart she is. :D

4 moYou're doing duck lips in your photo, so that's not something you have to worry about. It's an exhibition that you are a mindless follower not a free thinker and leader.

I’m amazed how you think all that from a photo. Ever tried to really talk with me about any topic? It might surprise you
- 4 mo
There's nothing you could do to surprise me. Like I said you are a follower... That's why you use the "threatened man trope" because it's a prepackaged and approved feminist defense mechanism.
- 4 mo
Haha sure sure. It was just a question you don’t need to be so triggered

u 4 moWhen dating, I was very selective and would not date a woman who had average intelligence or less. I didn't think I was better than such women, but I knew from experience that we would have very little in common.

00 Reply 448 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Actully intelligent? No.
But if she pretends to be intelligent that's another matter.
Like any woman who thinks that there are 52 genders isn't actually intelligent.

Anonymous(30-35)4 moI don't feel threatened, but I don't find as much fulfillment in an intelligent romantic parter. The more capable and independent she is, the less I can take care of her. And being a provider is something I have a deep, likely instinctual desire for.
