Guys, how often will you offer to help a woman with something? How did she respond?

Question

Every so often, I'll see a video online of a woman who is upset because she'd needed help with moving something heavy or awkward, changing a tire, spotting at the gym, or some other task that a man would typically do, but no man would help or even offer. Or even something simple like holding a door or giving up a seat.

Likewise, I'll see videos of men either saying they'd offered to help but were treated rudely or a man saying something like "that's feminism for ya! A strong independent woman who don't need no man!"

So guys, what has been your experience with offering to help a woman?

And girls, have you ever been in such a situation?

If i don’t know her and she doesn’t ask nicely, i have nothing to offer her.
Women who don’t ask for help and then b*tch that nobody gave them the help that they refused to ask for are *ssholes.
That IS equality for ya. Ell oh ell!
Men don’t get help we didn’t ask for, from women or men. Hell, we barely get help when we do ask for it.
I will never forget the time my girlfriend and i broke up. When she moved out, i couldn’t afford the bills for the apartment we shared, and she couldn’t afford anything either. By the end of the following week she had her rent paid, food assistance, tuition reimbursement and got to keep her car. I was homeless and told that i had to sell my car before i qualified for any kind of assistance, for anything. They would even kick me out of a homeless shelter if they found out that i was sleeping there while i owned a car. The only assistance i would get was help finding a job. When i asked how i’m supposed to get to work if i sell my car, i was told “Those are the rules!”. Fortunately i was just homeless, not jobless. So i lived out of my car until i could afford a new apartment.
My family didn’t even offer to help.
I have never been given anything that i didn’t earn, and most guys i know can honestly say the same.
I have met very few women who can honestly say that.

Well number one I cannot stand entitled women…. And that’s why they just repulse any man with self respect. Is their entitled shitty attitude. For women who are family, friends, and significant others. Absolutely and I also know if I need something I can depend on them too.

You can’t win with narcissists because you’re bad if you do bad if you don’t on top of you can’t please everyone. If I try to do something nice for someone and they're offended it’s not my problem. Though, that’s not commonly a issue.

Most women really aren’t like that.

I know this question is for the guys but I am really curious to read the opinions when they come in.

Personally, I ask men for help. They have the upper body strength that MOST women just don't have.

I watch the videos "Mayday: Airplane Disaster"✈️ every day and I cringe when I see a woman pilot sitting in the cockpit.

So many things can go wrong in an instant with an airplane ✈️ and especially with a commercial airliner.

When something is terribly wrong with the plane, warning ⚠️ lights start flashing, a voice will come on telling the pilots "Pull Up"!!! And other things that they need to do.

Then the worse the plane gets, the shift shaker will go back and forth and all over the place and it's up to the pilots to physically try to regain control of the plane. This takes all of their bruit strength they have to get the plane back manually.

I have seen two crashes where a woman was either the pilot or the First Officer and both times the plane crashed because they just didn't have the same strength that men have.

So, they are responsible for people dying and they shouldn't be allowed to do a job that only a man should be doing just because they want to. Period.

To me, claiming that as "feminism" is just wrong. Feminists know when they can stand alone and when they need to ask for support. Fakers who don't know the value of a woman or a man within the greater context of the universe claim "feminism" or "anti-feminism" but really just harbor a deep-seated resentment (or even hatred) of men/women/both. The haters should just go dig a hole and sit in it till the apocalypse.

I do live at a fairly crowded region, with a very classic sense of community, so... helping out someone with these kind of things, that's just extremely common and personally... it has never been a problem for me

90% of the time... it is quite obvious they could use some help, and then you quite open and obviously make eye contact, one or two steps towards them and there's an understanding... you offer to help, they take it... you help them, okay, thanks, have a nice day... that's all

We all have moments of needing help. I am a helper to anyone. Some people are rude when I am only being myself by holding a door open, but, it's not gonna stop me from being me.

I will always appreciate who has helped out and I don't get helped much.

I think it depends on the situation and the person.

I usually offer help when I genuinely see a need, but I pay attention to how it’s received, some people appreciate it, others prefer to handle things themselves.

Respecting her response is just as important as the offer itself.

It’s about being attentive without assuming or overstepping.

It's been a mixed bag. I offered to help some girls fit a couch into a car when I was writing past their sorority and they were happy to accept. A few days later, someone dropped something and I picked it up for her and she snapped at me that she was capable of picking it up on her own. I've also been both thanked and snapped at for opening doors for women.

When it comes to the women I know of course. But too I have to be careful, because even some of the ones I know have attitudes or get triggered quick. As for other women in general, strangers, no. No need in taking a risk. Besides we’re all equal. Right?

Generally I don’t. If someone asks for help usually I will but I don’t offer unsolicited help. I open the door for everyone. Seating is strictly first come first serve but I will give up my seat for a senior citizen.

I feel that I help women about the same amount that I help men. I hold the door (or thrust the door open) if I am close to the door and someone looks like they will use the door, regardless if man or woman. If someone looks like they are in need (man or woman), I'll ask them if they need help and if they do, I'll help them. If female colleague asks for my help, I'll help them but I won't go out of my way to help with something work-related unless they ask me.

Rarely. The exchange rate for being nice to women is horrid. It's either an expectation, meaning no appreciation, or it's minor appreciation, meaning the value exchanged is miniscule. Or worse, the charity is taken advantage of.

I've been help offered to help women with anything because if I don't do it right at minimum I'm going to get trash verbally and at worst I'm going to get arrested. It's not worth the risk.
