Were these McDonald's employees just joking around or being unprofessional?

My aunt and I went to McDonald's, and the staff seemed distracted, joking around and making us repeat the order a few times. One of the workers, a young guy, kept smirking and laughing with his coworkers while taking our order. After we paid, he shouted to another worker to finish it, still joking around. There was also some mention of getting "her" Instagram. Was this just typical behavior from young employees, or did they cross a line with their unprofessionalism?

That's an awful job, one has to find ways to survive this nightmare lol.

Plus food service industry is quite famous for its questionable sense of humour. The more expensive the meal, the less you'll face this humour directly, it just teleports it farther away, in the kitchen.

it was randomly shouted from the back to get “her” number or instagram, it was never said to us directly and we don’t even know who it was towards or if it was just a joke to embarrass the worker assisting us or me and my aunt or just an immature worker.

Probably some guy that thought you were good looking I can understand the situation, but the customer heard it. So it’s not professional in a working environment, even though it might boost your Ego
