It's because they are only going to invest in a high value woman. They may have some short term fun with lower value women, but they don't take them seriously and never planned to be together for long. Such men have endless options for sex and/or companionship, but they're only going to invest long-term in a woman who has high value and is willing to provide a lot in return.

What do high value men value in women?

Youth.
Purity.
Femininity.
Being family-oriented (rather than career-oriented)
Submissive
Supportive
Respectful
Appreciative
All-natural

I DJ for 6 different groups of wealthy customers, each of which is composed of 50 or 60 couples. The above list describes nearly every woman at the time the man got together with her. Sure, there are a couple of exceptions, but these groups are incredibly likely to follow this stereotype.

All or nearly all of the wives were with the men BEFORE they were really successful and had their own wealth.

From time to time lightning will strike and you'll just have some p***y fall in your lap, I would know better than most, I was one of the top promoters and host on the strip for years. All men have to approach women if they want to have options and be successful w/ them. Anytime I hear a guy claim he doesn't need to do anything to get women that tells me thats a guy who is inexperienced.
