From what I noticed, once a girl gets into a new relationship and moves she really doesn’t look back and completely forgets her ex. Usually she can think back to her past without even feeling sad by it anymore. By this I mean from normal breakups, not a scenario where her partner dies. But men often still hold some kind of painful feelings about their past relationships even if they have moved on. It doesn’t necessarily mean they still love their ex (again, from a break-up) - most of the time they don’t, but it does mean that the relationship left an impact on their lives. I feel this kind of sentiment is more common among men than women.
Where are you getting this from? Because majority of woman always say," I need to heal" and usually takes years to get back into a relationship.
So like I said, it’s what I’ve personally noticed
And I never said that most women just jump into a new relationship. Just that when they actually move on seems like they don’t feel any type of way for their ex at all
I think it's important to recognize all men and all women don't share one level of feelings that can easily be generalized in such a way.
I can't believe the amount of questions on here that are basically asking if a blanket statement can so easily be true as if there is no individual differences to account for.
For 99% of things not all men or women think the same, behave the same, or react the same to any situation. When we start actually think all men are... or all women are... or all of democrats... or all of Republicans... all white people... all black people.. are the same... We really have lost the ability to critically think with nuance.
All I can go by is that my late boyfriend never stopped loving and missing his wife who died after 24 years of marriage.
Even though he and I met 10 years after she died, I always felt that his heart was hers.
She was only 47 when she got sick and passed away in his arms.
There are some, both guys and girls, who have a new boyfriend/girlfriend the next week after breaking up. Others take a long time.
Usually women have lined up the next man before they end a relationship. Most likely they have test driven him as well.
That's possible. Women tend to have more emotional involvement in a relationship than men do.
That could go back to basic biology. Men can produce billions of sperm anytime they want (always fertile), while women only have a few days each month to be fertile. Since each human has an innate goal to reproduce and continue the species, women are more picky in choosing a mate than men are, who can play the probability game.
Not all men but most men do because they're either angry of the breakup or they want to be jackasses and show the person they broke up with it doesn't matter cuz they can get anybody is what they think but they end up losing in the long run
Yes, that is usually the case. Most men will jump into bed with just about anyone.
You can care deeply and move on fairly quick. It comes down to accepting what has happened and striving to keep moving forward.
. .
Nah, it's not a gender thing it's a personality thing combined with opportunity.
Depends on the dude, but we boys' testosterone makes us hunger for another relationship sooner than most lasses, who tend to mourn their lost partner longer.
Oh, I don't think there's any doubt about that.
I can say that this photo is real but back in the 50's or 80's maybe but now, both just don't give a f*ck! 😏
I dont think that this is true. Everyone has different experiences.
This is dependent on the person, not gender.
I don't think they care "less", they just care in a different kind of way.
No, when I love a woman I could never move on after a death or after a break up.
Depends on the people and how they loved and lived.
Here in Greece they expect the widow to remain celibate. After her husband dies. Even if she in her 20s.
@HellOnHeels0
Surely not?
@HellOnHeels0
Is it same for a widower?
Yes but man encouraged to go on.
@HellOnHeels0
Gosh! Yet another one-sided rule which goes against us women.
Yes it is. My one friend has friends with benefits is closet especially when she goes home. And she dating guy. 35.
@HellOnHeels0
How wrong and how very, very unfair.
Yes it is.
Rules made by men.
No, but we are taught growing up to be tough so we dont show it as much as women do
In general yes, but there are exceptions
I think it's the exact opposite.
I'm sure it happens for some.
I pretty much move on quickly.
I don't think that's true
Not all same... some are more emotional
I dont think so
Yes mostly true.
