Would it be immature for a man who was attracted to you to start ignoring you because his father told him that you were laughing at him?

Back story.. this man’s father is difficult and can be disrespectful to staff… in the last two days I’ve heard people around me saying how they can’t stand the man… he is difficult but luckily I don’t work directly for him.. the son will always possibly have his dad’s back but I think he stays out of it because the dad may be too dominant I don't know

Anyway I was sitting next to a coworker and his father comes in and the coworker says something but I made the mistake of looking at him and giggling.. which possibly made it look like I was talking about him.. and him and that coworker don’t get along…

Even though the son wasn’t there.. he became very stone faced and avoidant.. didn’t even wave at me or say anything like he usually does. It kind of hurt
