Do men start taking better care of their appearance in their forties, or do they tend to let themselves go?

Funny you ask. I am in my 40s and I have recently got myself down near my optimal weight. I gained like ten pounds and I felt awful. I'm technically in a weight to my height that is within my bmi but I would like to lose say another 10 and get leaner.

I've been just eating less. I didn't eat badly just prob too much so I stopped that, got back to pushups and just fixed my rowing machine. Most people say I don't look older than 35 but who knows maybe people are being nice lol. I don't think I look my age and I feel much better than I did 10 years ago.

We tend to go two ways in our 40s. We realize we have to work at staying youthful and healthy and do that or continue on letting ourselves fall apart. I will not fall apart lol. I am on my way back to seeing if I can get to 100 pushups. I can not right now. My best was 67 and I can't do that many right now. That was at 38 so 9 years later I plan on hitting 100 before December.

I don't know about being an inspiration but thank you. Tomorrow is day 2 of road to 100. I have a while to go. It sucks but someone recently made me feel alive again, and it reminded me how much I want to be alive and stay healthy

10 pounds is nothing unless you’re 5 feet tall. Get over yourself dude, you’re not a supermodel. I don’t look or feel any different if I gain or lose 10 pounds, which I could do in 2 weeks

I only just hit my 30s but I've been super health concious the last few years. I want to be fit and healthy well into my 80s and 90s.

It depends on the guy and if he has a motivation to. Usually if there is a woman involved, he'll go all out. If he has no motivation, then generally he will care less.
