We think the same thoughts, how is this happening and why?!?

I have this good guy friend and even from day one we would have these weird encounters with each other where we seriously think the same thoughts then talk about it. Like an example I'll be looking at something and think wow that's really unique blah blah and then 2 seconds later he will lean over and say to me "wow isn't that really unique" It happens to both of us all the time...sometimes I'll say something to him and he's like weird I was thinking that than sometimes I will. Another example...i will be going to text him and he will than call me. Or I will send him a picture of something and he will send me pic of something and it's the same thing at the same time (super weird!) I have never had this kind of connection with anyone...even my best friends who have known for 8 year (which I would think we would think more alike because we are girls but we don't)

This is a really weird concept. It's a weird feeling once you find you're "in-tune" with another person, I guess I would call it? To me, it's some kind of strange harmonic/coincidental feeling I get when it happens out of the blue.

I bet though if you really thought about it, you would of noticed this more when you first met your best friend, like how it's happening now with your guy friend. But because its new with your guy friend, it's more impressionable probably, or more of a culture/gender shock because he's a guy and your a girl. It's like "hey that's not suppose to happen? Is it? hmm" but I think most of the time it's just because we either getting familiar with the other person or we don't know them as well, yet, as say your other best friend you've known for years. With her, you guys have familiar ground build up and you tend to expect certain behaviors because you've come to know them; with the good guy friend the expectations aren't as defined and you're not sure what exactly to expect and when you find you're both in tune with each other it seems more significant, more of a shock factor.

Idk this happens all the time with me and tbh I never think much of it-i just have it down as a coincidence. It just sounds like you're very similar people.
