The Struggles Of A Pale Person

When I mean pale, I'm talking about Translucent level of paleness. So basically how pale I am. Which I have been made fun of only once for it. Though I don't blame them for it, since this part of it does look weird. Anyways being pale has it's ups and downs. So I shall talk about the struggles you face when your skin is this extremely pale.

You glow in the sun and on camera

If I try to take a picture of myself and the flash is on, I end up blinding the camera due to how pale I am - So you end up barely able to see any detail at all. All you see is extreme white, and same goes for if you record yourself on video. A lot of times your skin ends up glowing in a weird way, so your not able to see much detail again. Then if your in direct sunlight, you probably burn everyones eyes from the white glow your giving off.

You can never tan and just burn

I know tanning is bad to begin with - Though once upon a time, I really wanted to be a little more tan, so once summer I tried to tan and did everything. It didn't work at all, and sure I turned a little darker, though sadly what little color change that had happened still wasn't that noticable. So I have learned that tanning is literally impossible!

You also just burn like hell really fast. Like 10 minutes, you will get a slight sun burn and be a little red for maybe about a day. When you get to 30 minutes, you're a little more red and it's more noticable. Along with the burn hurting more and lasting a little longer - Maybe like 1-3 days. If you stay out for 1 hour or more, holy fucken shit your doomed! Your going to be redder than a lobster and everything will hurt. If it touches you, then your going to scream in pain. It's extremely horrible. When I had my high school senior pictures taken, they had to photoshop my pictures. I ended up becoming badly sun burned due to band camp (I know hahahaha :P) Even with them photoshopping my pictures, I still look a little pink, so you could still tell I was kind of sunburned. :(

Can see majority of your blood veins

This is the part I had one person make fun of me for. They said I looked like I had blue spider webs in my chest area. They are extremely visable and you can see them easily - Even more if I don't have much body fat and it makes them stand like like crazy! Which since I've started to lose weight and get back down to 115 pounds, you can see all/majority of the blood veins in my hands, arms, chest, stomach, legs, feet, neck, and back. In a picture I will show just think of that but seeing it all over the body and some places looks extremely visable.

Working out and becoming over heated

Oh god everytime I workout and it's an intense workout, everyone thinks I'm about to kill over from how red I become. So reddness + pale skin = You look like your going to die. Same with if you work in extreme heat. All the sweat and everything causes you to become even more pale. I don't understand how it's possible for us to become even more pale, but sadly it happens each time your overheated. Which not only your face looks more pale and red, you get these rash looking spots in certain spots on your body. For me, it happens between right above my elbows and bicep muscle. Above my knees and only my toes become red, and the rest of my foot is my normal pale color. It looks kind of weird. :D

Every mark is extremely visable!

If you get any cuts, acne marks, scratch marks, etc., they are extremely visable in contrast to your extremely pale skin. Even if it's just a tiny mark it stands out like crazy.

Issues finding pale enough foundation

Though this is just a female thing, good luck going all over the world trying to find that color. Most of the time your never going to find the right color and it's going to look weird. Your face will look more orange and just wrong.

Having a toned body

I've noticed that there are more tan colored people that are physically toned. It's not often that you see a really pale person that has a toned body. Though sadly the more toned that pale person is, the weirder it tends to look on them.

That's all I can really think of at the moment. Though here is a website that adds more about the issues pale skin face: https://www.theglow.com.au/beauty/pale-girl-problems/

Being pale isn't always so bad. I like my skin tone and how pretty it tends to be. Just sucks when stuff like this happens. If you're pale as well, please leave anything you've faced due to being extremely pale. :)
