Some of us have had to face those terrible and evil little bumps that seem like they only want to destroy our beautiful skin by leaving marks, it's like a little army invading your fortress, so what do you do? Simple upgrade your defences by upgrading your arsenal. Here are a few things I found useful while battling with the little invading army.
1) Apple cider vinegar (AVC): I mean the raw one containing the mother, may I recommend braggs apple cider vinegar, dilute it with water and use as your toner after washes or mask treatments.
2) Tea tree oil : Probably the mother of all acne treatment, I use it raw on a cotton pad and swipe on my face after using my toner (aka AVC), my skin is really tough so if you have more sensitive skin dilute with a carrier oil e.g olive oil before application.
3) Moisturizer: Yes everything you heard about when skin is too dry it brings more acne is completely true I tested it on myself (not a nice experience) a good moisturizer that seals in moisture and prevents over production of oils buy your face as a response to dryness is good, may I recommend AVEENO. It is amazing.
FOOD;
1) Spinach: The use of leafy green vegetables in the body all round is amazing. Just include it as a side in any dish you make, it literally goes with anything.
2) Green tea: This little miracle worker, not only improved my acne but all my friends told me I was glowing.
3) Carrots: Chop them up and sprinkle them on anything.
4) Water: Not sure if I should this a 'food' but water is extremely good for you, we need 2 litres of water per day (I kid you not) best thing to do is buy a 2 litre bottle of water and take about three gulps per hour, it works.
Incorporating all these things into my diet and cosmetics drawer drastically changed the game for me, sometimes a simple battle plan is the most effective.
Also after acne comes the scars I did get something I use on my scars but I just recently started using it so I can't say for sure it works. Good luck in your battles.
