Curvy is a shape. It isn't a size. One doesn't have to be thick to be curvy. Tis all about proportions honey. An hourglass figure is curvy because the waist is at least 9 inches smaller than the bust and hips. And thats what these women have. Its not about being thick. Because naturally, and up until the last 50-100 years out of the past several thousand years, most human beings were strong, lean, and fit. If you look outside North America and a few other gluttonous countries, that's still largely the case. Naturally however, is whatever my body does without scientific or chemical intervention. Plus, if i have curves at this point in time, I'm curvy. Maybe next year that's different, and then I'm not curvy anymore. You've got an odd point there.

I think the point here is that the OP is arguing what "curvy" now means in a fashion sense. That the word "fat" in the fashion sense of it, has generally been replaced by the word "curvy". Not always. But stereotypically enough that when you hear "curvy" an unfit overweight woman is envisioned. When in reality, a curve is a shape... if I were to draw a line on paper that isn't straight for example, yep, it's curvy.

1000's of years ago or tens of 1000's ago being plump or fat or chubby or curvy (or whatever the hell word you want to give it) was super rare though. Reserved for kings, queens, and other gluttons. It signified wealth (therefore deemed attractive) because there was no way to get fat other than living in excess. What's considered attractive has changed throughout the millenia based on that very thing... wealth.
What hasn't changed however is that still even today (probably tomorrow too) fat is a physical substance. It's not a judgement. It's not an opinion. It can be measured. And we even have general quantified references for how much pushes the limits of a healthy body.
I would have ventured to say that we now know better, but by many of the irked responses in this thread, apparently not.
